Herbs

Herbs, just like greens have a very important role in our diet, actually in Bunnyland we eat more herbs than greens, but we know that city bunnies are already used to eating greens well, besides, the herbs you humans usually give are dried which in Bunnyland is not the case, we eat directly from the earth and they are so good!

Herbs can be bought anywhere, you don't have to go to a petshop just for herbs, you can also pick them from the garden, but then you have to be careful that there are no pesticides or pee on them!

Even then you need to wash the herbs well so that they don't contain any "bugs" that could harm our stomach or even be fatal.

There are many herbs that we can eat and that are good for us, my grandmother Mémé teatch us a lot about this subject, what we should eat, when we should eat and what the herbs are for. When I arrived here in town I spoke to some humans and I found it funny that there is no scientific data about these herbs and their benefits, everything that humans know about the subject is based on studies done on... humans.

In many places they are even called Holistic Herbs, exactly because they are not considered medicines and because there is no scientific rigor to prove their benefits, but I believe that as a preventive measure, as an integral part of our diet, it help a lot to keep problems away.

It seems that our grandmothers keep the secrets of herbs well and this information is really only passed from generation to generation, so I am going to break a very important rule here and share with you everything I know about herbs and how you can use them to help your bunny.

I will put here a list of some herbs, some have the common names and others the scientific names, and if you click on the names it will open a window where I will talk about some properties of the most common herbs (there are still some herbs missing), so it is easy for you to use and you know that if you need help just ask me and I will help you.

How about that?

You weren't expecting such a long list, were you? The truth is that there are many more, I didn't even mention here the types of forage (you can see here if you want).

These are the ones I know you're used to giving to your bunnies, I've added some that may be new to many, but that we can eat without any problem.

It is necessary to do a gradual introduction and see if there is any reaction or allergy, never forget that what is valid for one bunny may not be valid for another, as well as it is important to know what the herbs are used for so that when you mix them you do not mix an exciting herb with a calming one, or if the bunny has soft poo you give an herb that instead of helping them to become hard, makes them softer...

In fact, you only need to know what the herbs are for so that you can start giving them to your bunny without any problems!

Or start altering several herbs with the same principles so that your bunny can enjoy all the benefits of them without always eating the same herb.
